Origin: Mexico and California.


After the Phoenix canariensis palm, the Washingtonia robusta palm is the common palmtree in Spain. The leaves of the Washingtonia robusta will be maximum 2 m. The stem of this palm is slim and thin, up to 25 m high.
The Washingtonia robusta prefers coastal areas, and  resists  temperatures till -6 degrees below zero. The Washingtonia robusta tolerates very high temperatures. It is the ideal palm to plant in groups in parks and lanes.
