Cork oak (Quercus suber)

Quercus suber is an evergreen tree which can grow up to 20 metres. The Quercus suber is also known as Cork oak.

The Quercus suber can tolerate strong winds, but not maritime exposure. The bark of the Quercus suber has been used for thousand years to make sandals and cork for wine bottles.
